It’s time for Heartland Farm’s free annual Open Farm Day!
Come out to visit the Heartland Farm on Saturday, April 18 between 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to walk alpacas, make wildflower seed bombs, and hear alpaca kids’ stories. Take a tour of our gardens, trails, and prairie labyrinth, learn about spinning from Sr. Jane, feed JCA Highlands Scottish Highland cows, contribute to a community weaving project, or symbolically adopt an alpaca. Be sure to have a cookie baked on the solar oven (weather permitting).
While you’re here, don’t forget to check out our gift shop full of unique products, including Sr. Imelda’s soaps and jellies, homemade kitchen items, Sr. LeAnn’s crocheted alpacas, Equal Exchange teas and coffee, alpaca-fiber socks, hats, and scarfs, more.
Freaking Delicious Cheesecakes will have the cheesecake trailer here!
A full schedule of events is available below.
Open Farm Day is free to the public. Refreshments will be served.
